Zweigelt, Moravian red wine. The peasant wine we drank with our mother's milk. Born when I realised and accepted that this is the way it should be when I finally embraced the fact that there's no need to “discipline” my grapes into something broader, more southern. A really important moment for me. When you finally acknowledge what you have - and what you don't - your life becomes so much easier. You finally understand who you are and where you stand. The best reaction to all the critiques that you can't make a decent red in Moravia. Of course you can. Just deal with the fact that it won't be a bold Rioja and everybody is happy. Or, at least I am. And yes, it’s named after that Jay Z track.
